We were appointed to carry out a re-roof of the Pizza Hut building in Brighton city centre. Scaffolding was erected around the busy shopping pavements allowing the ‘live’ business environment of the Costa Coffee underneath, to continue for the duration of the works.
The ventilation system for Pizza Hut, mounted on the roof to be worked on, was temporarily relocated onto the scaffolding for the duration of the works so as not to interfere with the business operations of Pizza Hut. Once the scaffolding was erected it was found the original iron lintels to the windows were blowing the brickwork to the building.
The contract was extended to undertake the structural repairs to the building, replacement of the lintels to the windows and re-point where necessary.
The new ‘Suprema’ system roof was handed over with a 20 year guarantee.
